Genesis Mission Project Selected for Funding
Our multi-institutional project has been selected for the inaugural round of
the U.S. Department of Energy's
Genesis Mission.
The project will use AI to identify new observables that maximize sensitivity
to the nuclear matter equation of state (EOS) and improve the extraction of
nuclear matter properties from heavy-ion collision data.
The collaboration brings together researchers from Duke University, Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory, UC Davis, and Michigan State University.
The scientific concept directly advances my research program at FRIB to
constrain the EOS, and I will lead the MSU component of the project.
